Jana was born and raised in Ogden, Utah and attended Dixie State University where she received her Bachelor of Communications degree. Her love for the area compelled her to move her family to St. George.
Jana Carter is a dedicated Operations Director and Event Planner with over 13 years of event management experience, Jana uses her trademark skills of problem solving, creativity, and flexibility to produce corporate events and meetings. She excels at logistics and operations, and her attention to detail ensures that events run seamlessly from concept to completion.
She is a detail-oriented professional with strengths in event creation, planning and execution.
Good at wearing multiple hats, Jana is adept at responding quickly to changing circumstances, always maintaining an upbeat, can-do attitude. As event Director, she specializes in customer service that nurtures positive, productive relationships.
Jana started her event planning career working as the Logistic Coordinator for the What’s Up Down South Economic Summit, the largest business gathering in Southern Utah with over 1,000 attendees. Her hard work and dedication placed her as the Director of the event in 2016, while obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Dixie State University. After graduation, she continued her career in operations and event planning.
For much of her career, Jana has lent her talents to the Washington County Economic Development Council. In her role as Associate Director, she helped countless corporations relocate, expand and retain their business in the Southern Utah region. She continued to plan exciting, memorable and successful Economic Summits.
Now as the Director of Operations and Events, she brings years of experience and talent to lead a dynamo team of customer service oriented masterful event planners and business consultants. Jana is responsible for operations management, budget development, and conference event planning, coordinating, supervising, and directing.
